Does it support 5GHz WiFi?

No. It only works with 2.4GHz WiFi. Please make sure your phone is connected to 2.4GHz during setup.

Does this controller work without a remote?

Yes. You can control it fully using the free Tuya/Smart Life App on your phone. No remote needed.

Can I use voice control?

Yes, after linking your Tuya account to Amazon Alexa or Google Home.

How do I pair/set up the MC101W controller with my phone?

Long-press SET 5s until slow flash. Open Tuya Smart App – it will auto-discover the device. Tap “Add” → enter 2.4GHz WiFi password. Ensure phone on 2.4G, Bluetooth & location on.

Does the kit include a power supply and LED strip?

No. The kit includes only the controller and manual. The MR101A Remote Control, Power supply, LED strip, and batteries (2x AAA for remote) are NOT included.
